After several years, the fuselage of the Alouette III s/n 1390, that was flying in Italy as I-AIRU, appeared in the Netherlands.

The airframe and several parts were acquired from the Alouette Museum Barneveld with the aim of restore the helicopter to his original A-390 [Netherland Air Force] status.

The helicopter was bought with an Astazou engine installed, the same engine originally installed on the SA319B serie (as visible on above image).
