A seguito dell’incidente che venerdì 3 novembre ha coinvolto l’elicottero Bell 505 marche di registrazione I-ECJX, a Noto (SR), l’ANSV ha immediatamente aperto un’inchiesta di sicurezza e inviato un proprio investigatore sul luogo dell’evento, che, il giorno successivo, ha svolto il sopralluogo operativo.

Lievi ferite per i tre occupanti, estesi danni all’aeromobile.

Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today the 300th Bell 505 Jet Ranger X delivery to the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). The first Bell 505 was delivered in 2017, and today there are 300 aircraft in operation across six continents, with customers logging more than 70,000 global fleet hours.

“The Bell 505 is one of Bell’s fastest growing commercial programs to date, surpassing several significant milestones since its inception,” said Michael Thacker, Executive Vice President, Innovation and Commercial Business. “As we continue to see interest for the aircraft in Public Safety, Utility and Corporate transport, Bell has invested in new products and technologies to expand the Bell 505’s capabilities.”

The latest Bell 505 platform advancements include the Garmin G1000H NXi avionics suite, Flight Stream, Autopilot, Lightweight EMS interior, Bell Public Safety configuration, Pulselite, FliteStep, LHS Baggage Door and Moveable Ballast.

“We are proud to take delivery of the 300th Bell 505 and expand our fleet capabilities.” said Lt. Col. Brian Lundy, commanding officer of the JDF Air Wing. “JDF and Bell have a strong history together and today’s delivery marks another milestone in our relationship.” The Force’s sixth Bell 505 will support Public Safety missions to serve the citizens of Jamaica and be operated by its Caribbean Military Aviation School (CMAS) to train the international rotorcraft pilots of tomorrow.

With a speed of 125 knots (232 km/h) and useful load of 1,500 pounds (680 kg), the Bell 505 is Bell’s newest five-seat aircraft designed for safety, efficiency and reliability using advanced avionics technology. Its similarities with the Bell 429 platform allow for a smooth pilot transition as JDF begins training operations. With a Garmin G1000, the platform shares similar avionics with JDF’s Fixed Wing Trainer aircraft and reduces pilot workload, enhancing the students’ learning experience.

Bell Helicopter Delivers First Bell 505 Jet Ranger X.

The new aircraft was on prominent display in Bell Helicopter’s booth at Heli-Expo 2017 HAI HELI-EXPO 2017 – Dallas, TX (March 7, 2017) Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today the first delivery of the Bell 505 Jet Ranger X. The aircraft was delivered to private operator Scott Urschel, who is based in Chandler, Arizona, and owner of Pylon Aviation. Bell Helicopter and Mr. Urschel commemorated this milestone in the Bell Helicopter booth at Heli-Expo 2017. “I could not be more pleased to receive the first Bell 505 and put the aircraft into service,” said Urschel. “I have been part of the Bell 505 program from the very beginning and have been anticipating this moment. After experiencing the aircraft first hand, I could not believe the power and performance capabilities for an aircraft in this class.” Urschel was part of Bell Helicopter’s Customer Advisory Council (CAC) that was directly involved in advising on the design of the Bell 505. The CAC guided specifications and capabilities that were integrated into the platform to fit a diverse set of mission needs. This first Bell 505 is configured for utility operations and will perform in various mission sets to include charter, tourism and utility.

Bell 505 Jet Ranger X Achieves Type Certification.

PRESS RELEASE – Fort Worth, TX (December 21, 2016) Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today that its Bell 505 Jet Ranger X has been certified by the Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA).

Unveiled in 2013, the new, five-seat helicopter went from concept to a successful first flight in 20 months. Since then, the aircraft has flown more than 1,000 flight hours and undergone rigorous activities to ensure customers have superior handling qualities and payload performance.

Transport Canada joined Bell Helicopter at its Mirabel facility to commemorate the achievement.
